In 1990 he wrote a fund accounting and budgeting system for the United Way of Southwest Louisiana that tied their 30+ agencies together.
In 1996 the company was incorporated and became TradeWinds Software Corporation. During that same year they were contracted by the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Elderly affairs to write a statewide program for their 66+ agencies; which captured all services provided at each agency and transmitted the data to Baton Rouge where it was automatically compiled and reported to Congress.
In 1998 TradeWinds wrote a system for United Way agencies to capture their annual fundraising campaigns which was distributed to 75+ agencies in 27 states. During this time he attended school in Washington DC and received certifications as an Oracle DBA and Developer.
During the 1990s Randy served on the board of directors of several non-profit agencies including the Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana and Family & Youth Counseling agency. He also volunteered much of his time to help non-profit agencies and won several awards for his service.
